INTRODUCTION
Following the model of courses developed and delivered in the USA, UK, and Australia, we’re proud to bring you the Advanced MRI Safety Training Seminar! This three-day intensive seminar will cover a large range of topics that everyone involved in MRI safety (including technologists / radiographers and radiologists) ought to know for safe and effective management of MRI patient care.
ABOUT THE COURSE
The Advanced MRI Safety Training Seminar will be delivered over three days, and is expected to provide attendees with CE credit, pending approval.
The course will be delivered by Professor Tobias Gilk, certified MRSO and MRSE, Board Member and past Chair of the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety (ABMRS), twice past member of the American College of Radiology (ACR) MRI Safety Committee, and co-author of the ACR’s 2007 Guidance Document on Safe MR Practices as well as the 2020 ACR Manual on MR Safety. Prof. Gilk has lectured on MRI safety topics for ISMRM / ISMRT, RSNA, ASRT, ACR, SRS, SSSBE, IRIA, as well as radiographer and radiology training programs around the world. He is a member of multiple MRI safety professional organizations and societies, and founded the Facebook MRI Safety Group, which has more than 28,000 members sharing MRI safety information from around the world.
